Welcome to the ultimate guide for UNI Competitions, the platform where innovation, design, and brilliance converge. Whether you're a seasoned designer, a tech visionary, or an academic prodigy, you'll find a wealth of opportunities to showcase your talents and make a global impact. This comprehensive guide is designed to equip you with all the knowledge you'll need to not only enter but also dominate in our wide array of competitions. We've laid out everything—from resources and submission guidelines to eligibility and awards—in a clear, straightforward manner.
Once you register for a UNI Competition, you gain access to your personalized dashboard. This dashboard serves as your command center, providing you with real-time updates, submission statuses, and vital links, making your participation smooth and hassle-free.
After registering, you'll find a folder of additional resources available on your dashboard. These resources vary depending on the competition but are tailored to help you create a compelling submission. This toolkit may include:
CAD Files for precise drafting
3D Files for modeling and visualization
Site/Product Images for contextual understanding
Research Materials to fuel your ideation
And More!!
📌 Heads Up: Always refer to the competition brief to see if additional resources are available. These resources are designed to expedite your design process and offer you a leading edge in the competition.
For a compelling submission, we recommend using 5 presentation boards of dimensions [2800px x 3500px] in portrait digital format. Please submit a JPEG image for optimal performance. While a minimum of 3 boards is acceptable, there's no upper limit—unleash your creativity! However, to keep the platform smooth, each image should be under 15MB. Do not upload images with more than 25M pixels (i.e., 5000x5000).
After registration, you'll gain access to submission sheet templates that can serve as a base for your visual storytelling.
The cover image is your project's face; make sure it's recognizable even on smaller screens. Keep it free from text and use a landscape format of 2000px x 1000px. This image serves as your project's thumbnail and sets the tone for what's to follow.
If your project demands high-resolution images beyond the board limitations, compile them into a PDF and link it as a publication to your project. Learn how to connect your publication to your project.
While you're free to design your boards your way, we recommend including the following for a more robust narrative:
Location Plan for contextual understanding
Key Conceptual Technical Details to underline your innovation
A minimum of 4 3D Views for spatial understanding.
A video walkthrough is always a plus
Complement your submission with a 700-1000 word article in the Journal section, especially if it's recommended in the additional resources guide. This is your opportunity to provide deeper insights into your project.
