Go to UNI

The role of partner institutions, how collaboration works, and what happens if there is only one registration.

Experience the synergy of global architectural education by connecting with partner institutions through UNI's Institutional Access.

Institutional Access (IA) on UNI extends beyond individual competition entries. It fosters a rich environment for collaboration, bringing together diverse academic perspectives from partner institutions around the world. Here’s how your institution can leverage these partnerships for a richer learning and competing experience.

Step 1: Partner Institution Matching

Upon registering for IA, UNI will match your institution with a partner institution. This match is designed to promote intellectual exchange and broaden the scope of competition entries.

Step 2: Open Channels of Communication

Once matched, UNI facilitates a dedicated communication channel between the participating members of both institutions. This platform serves as a vibrant space for discussing ideas, sharing resources, and exploring diverse design methodologies.

Step 3: Exploring and Evaluating Entries

Faculty members and mentors from each institution gain the unique opportunity to explore and assess entries from their partner institution. This reciprocal evaluation fosters a deeper understanding of varied architectural practices and pedagogies.

As an Instructional Member you can evaluate entries submitted in a competition by scrolling down to the bottom of the project.

Step 4: Collaborative Learning and Feedback

The interaction with a partner institution isn’t just about competition. It’s an avenue for students and mentors to engage in constructive feedback, share inspirational ideas, and develop a global outlook on architectural challenges.

Step 5: Discord Channel for Enhanced Interaction

For an enriched interactive experience, UNI creates a dedicated Discord channel for institutions with matched partners. This channel serves as an exclusive forum for real-time discussions, brainstorming sessions, and networking.

Handling Solo Registrations

In the event of a competition receiving only a single IA registration, there will not be a partner institution to collaborate with. However, the participating institution can still fully engage in the competition, utilizing all other benefits of IA. Your institutional access remains intact, allowing up to 15 entries in one or more competitions within the year of registration.

The Global Classroom Experience

Through IA, UNI transforms the traditional classroom into a global hub of architectural innovation. Partner institutions play a pivotal role in this transformation, turning competitions into a collaborative, cross-cultural learning experience.

Are You Ready to Connect and Compete?

Embrace the opportunity to interact with a global academic community. With UNI's Institutional Access, your institution is not just participating in a competition; it’s becoming part of a worldwide architectural dialogue.
